Our Founder

Born and raised in Hội An, artist Lê Ngọc Thuận has transformed driftwood into soulful creations, blending traditional Vietnamese craftsmanship with contemporary art. His unique creative vision has taken him to art stages from Vietnam to Germany, Milan, and Switzerland. As the founder of Cui Lu Art Space – Coco Casa Art Gallery, he has not only created a gallery, but also a meeting space for those who cherish beauty and boundless creativity.

Củi Lũ Art Space - Coco Casa Art Gallery

Nestled by the banks of the Cổ Cò River, Củi Lũ Art Space – Coco Casa Art Gallery was founded with a mission to honor Vietnamese craftsmanship and serve as a bridge between traditional art and the contemporary world. More than just a gallery, it is a creative space where art intertwines with nature and local culture.

At Củi Lũ Art Space, traditional culture and art are not only preserved but also revitalized with new life. From driftwood sculptures crafted by artists from the Driftwood Village to the intricate details of Hội An silver jewelry, each piece is a fusion of masterful craftsmanship and contemporary creativity.

Every piece exhibited at Củi Lũ Art Space tells a story — a glimpse into the artist’s soul — reflecting the rich diversity of Vietnamese and global art. From paintings and wood sculptures to contemporary creations, the exhibition is a space where emotions connect, where tradition and modernity intertwine, offering deeply moving artistic experiences.

About Us

Củi Lũ Art Space is a contemporary art space where wood sculpture, painting, and boundless creativity come together in harmony. It is a continuation and expansion of the Driftwood Village — a journey that began in 2021, breathing life into pieces of driftwood left behind by floods, transforming them into deeply emotional works of art. From lifeless fragments of wood, an artistic world has emerged — one that carries the spirit of Vietnamese craftsmanship and the cultural depth of local heritage.
